i suddenly have new motivation to get up on time and get the train. this new motivation has gorgeous eyes.

i also have new motivation to either find the ghetto eye mask i have courtesy of british air or go buy a new one, because waking up with the sun gets more annoying as the sun comes up earlier and earlier. and while my curtains are awesome, they can not block the sun. they make it lovely and dark at night. in the morning, not so much.

your playing on-again, off-again with my removable hard drive is not amusing. in fact, it's causing me to desire to take a sledgehammer to your innards. stop doing whatever it is you're doing and start working right before i give into temptation. it is not yet noon on a monday and i was being damn productive before you started with your tricks.

in all the talk of energy dependency and oil, why is it never mentioned that we need oil for a lot more than just energy? oil is used for things that seem far more important than massively inefficient combustion-engine vehicles. and there is no requirement that energy must come from oil.

picture the world without plastic. the majority of plastic in the world is petrochemical based.
petrochemicals are pervasive in modern life.

why is no one talking about this? the discussion is all about suvs and gas prices. combustion engines can burn things other than oil. there aren't a lot of non-petroleum based plastics, though.

(and memo to americans about gas prices: the. world. does. not. revolve. around. you. guess what? china, india, europe, and russia all use oil too. in fact, the chinese and indian demand for oil is likely to do nothing but rise. get used to the high prices. they're not going anywhere but up. you might want to look into something fuel-efficient next time you buy a new vehicle.)

yes, you. the mentally challenged individual stood right where the middle of the doors will be when the train stops. you KNOW they will be there, which is why you have stood where you are. did it ever occur to that little microscopic brain of yours that you will facilitate everyone's journey, including your own, if you are in fact NOT in the middle of where the doors will open? that standing to the side of where the doors open so people trying to get off might not have to body check you to do so might be a valid plan? (and sunshine, let me assure you, you ever stand smack in front of me like that, i will have no compunctions about trying to walk through you. just ask any of the people i've done it to. and i do not apologize for your stupidity. i'm not either of your parents, thus your cognitive inability is in no way my fault.) has it ever occurred to you that there might be a reason the station agents/train drivers/whatever they call the dlr people make that announcement to please allow passengers off the train first? or do you just honestly believe you're special, just like every other flea-brained asswit doing the same damn rude and annoying thing you're doing?

idiot.

ps- to the idiot who after having stood in the middle of where the doors would be, then took exactly one step forward into the train and blocked the doors from the inside: i wasn't trying to be helpful pushing the open doors button at greenwich. i was actually hoping you wouldn't notice anyone was pushing the button and would fall backwards out of the train. it would probably have amused more than just me.

it's a toss-up which i am most pissed off with at the moment: grad school, my computer (home or office, doesn't much matter), or my body.

i have had enough from all of the above for one week, and it's only monday.

i'm going to sleep.
