it was such a lovely, peaceful neighborhood. now, between the asshole downstairs, the idiot across the hall, and assorted long running home improvement projects, there is NEVER peace.
i don't know what the hell the banging sounds are. they may actually be a grown-up type neighbor doing diy. but my patience is sadly frayed from repeated issues with the asshole and the idiot. (yes, i like across the hall better than downstairs. across the hall had one party. it was a once-off. other than that, he seems to have a pretty good handle on when it's time to turn the volume down. and he's funny when he tries to sing along. downstairs has a regular late night loud music habit, and apparently has no idea that the majority of society deems after midnight on a weekday a time for sleeping. worse, he has no entertainment value.)
i have to go to that stupid sushi dinner tonight. i don't wanna. yes, i'm being childish, but having to be in hackney at 6 is putting a crimp in what i wanted to do today. yes, i'm cranky. i was in a good mood when i woke up. for about 5 seconds. and then the noise started.
