Deer, for those of you who don't have the misfortune of dealing with them regularly, are assholes. They will eat anything, including the things they supposedly don't eat. (No, I'm not bitter at the decimation of my garden.) Anything, that is, except this hot pepper. So far. I'm leaving it there and waiting...

I'm glad we don't have to deal with deer here. Just rabbits, but they stay away from our peppers, especially once they're tall enough to be difficult to reach. Our peppers are HOT, that's probably part of it. Next year, we're doing ghost peppers, since we're sick of trying to find places to buy them fresh. (Dried is less of a problem, since once you find one, you're good for a bit.)
