usually i think my downstairs neighbors are cool.
then every once in a while, they do loud things at ridiculous times of night.
like now.
they're trying to park a camper van out front. the camper van is a diesel engine vehicle, and not the quiet kind. whoever is driving ain't good at this sort of thing, because izzy is shouting directions. loudly. if i'm irritated, i can only imagine what the rest of the neighborhood is, cause there are quite a few small children in range of this racket.

ugh

i am the only person i know who gets sick from drinking too much water.
yet despite all this water (which my stomach is not thrilled with) i'm still dehydrated. will someone PLEASE explain this? and i exaggerate not about the dehydration. the back of my throat is completely dry.

i'm torn between wanting to just bring the damn brita pitcher in here and set it next to my bed to save trips to the kitchen every 20 minutes, and certainty that if i do, i'll knock the damn thing over at 4:43am and have water all over the floor (or possibly my bed. there are no limits to my klutziness when i'm both tired and what, if alcohol induced, would probably be called drunk.)

looks like tonight won't be much more restful than last night was.

*sigh*

sleep

sleep was definitely the better choice. came home, showered, went to bed. woke up now, but only for bathroom and food purposes. after this, am going back to sleep. oh, and for the record, parsnips are a good thing.

parents, if you read this, do not call tonight. i am going to be asleep. with the phone unplugged.

it nearly did last night.
anyone have tips on how to calm my mind long enough to fall asleep?

i went to bed at 10 last night. you'd think this would lead to me getting a good night's sleep and being well rested, ready to face the day today. nope. first, there was the apparent wrong number. if i had to guess, i'd say that was somewhere between midnight and 1am. it woke me out of solid sleep. and i don't think whoever it was had the decency to say anything either. either that or they said something that wasn't in english. either way, if you're going to call someone that damn late, you ought to make sure you have the right number. then there was the noise downstairs. i have no idea what exactly it was (power tools?) but doing it before 7am was so uncalled for. so i am now tired and cranky and the lovely weather is not helping.

meh.
