grr...darn kids!

yesterday at swim lessons i told a five year old that you shouldn't blow snot rockets in the pool, because then you're swimming with your snot. and if everyone blew snot rockets in the pool...well, she didn't like the visual either. unfortunately, this lesson apparently comes too late, because i'm feverish today. i blame the snotty (i mean that in a literal sense) kids and lack of hot showers yesterday. well, the snotty kids and the dumbass parents who send their kid to the pool with a cold and don't tell them that you shouldn't blow snot rockets/wipe your nose on your hand and then wash it off in the pool.

guess i'm not swimming today. NOT HAPPY.

still feel like crap, but i'm showered, well-fed, and bundled up in fuzzy pjs and a blanket. hopefully i sleep off whatever it is. i'm going to bed early tonight. parental units and other types who might try to call me on skype, it's not turned on tonight because i'm running simulations. i have never actually paid attention to what effect skype has on performance, but having the computer crash mid-sim and having to redo things didn't sound like a chance i wanted to take.

oh, and sausage and mash has been added to my repertoire of comfort food.
