Sep. 15th, 2005 02:42 pma lot of cyclists seem to be fair-weather only. tuesday morning, the lift at greenwich was packed. you seriously could not have fit another bike in there if you tried. this morning, there were two other bikes. today is not cold, but it is rainy/misty/grey and grumpy. can't wait to see what it's like when it's no longer warm enough for shorts.
hilarious quote from a member of the england cricket team talking about the team yesterday: I consider every one of them good mates of mine, and I haven't stopped kissing and cuddling any of them for the last 24 hours. Long may it continue.
i miss swimming. can't wait until the pool opens again.
looking forward to the new take on pride & prejudice, even if the trailer featured a lot of bad hair. also need to see green street and cindarella man before the cinema moves them to make way for whatever gets released next week. want to get my money's worth from my cinema card!
and channel four really needs to look into more accurate titles for their late-night movies. after lost last night, i went back to working on the computer. at one point i turned around and realized that there was a movie on called kama sutra. despite the name, it wasn't porn, but more like a bollywood romance with an unhappy ending. the costumes and settings were awesome, though. maybe if i'd paid better attention to the beginning of the story, the ending would have made more sense, but as it was, the ending sucked. i hate artistic endings. and will someone please explain to me how the concubine's boyfriend was executed? did the elephant stomp on him or something?
has anyone seen rome on hbo?
