up yours, bbc.
from an article about product design:
Somewhere in between there is a whole host of devices that are used by two people - the happy couple. In such contexts there is often a degree of delegation: he knows how to change the program on the central heating, she knows how to adjust the clock on the oven. She knows how to run the eco-setting on the washing machine, he knows how to change the bit on the power drill.
simple household maitenance doesn't require a penis, and ovaries are not a prereq for knowing how to cook your own food or clean your own clothes. i can program anything i damn well please, thank you, and i do just fine with power tools. probably better than you do, mr. sexist bbc reporter. and as i don't think i'm a complete anomaly among women, that means there are plenty of other women out there who can. and i know plenty of guys who are damn good in the kitchen. (and i don't mean that in a dirty way.) if it's too much to ask you to get with the twenty-first century, could you at least drag yourself up to the 1990s?
