dilemma

the doctor's office has yet to call and tell me when tomorrow my surgery is supposed to be, or if it's been cancelled in light of last week's ultrasound. how long do i wait before i call them? (it should be mentioned that i am a big fat wuss when it comes to needles and cutting implements and still hoping they'll call and say "oh, it's nothing, surgery's cancelled".)

EDIT: called the dr's office. the hospital will contact me some time after 4pm to tell me when to show up tomorrow. so it seems surgery is still on for tomorrow. meh.

i guess that's good. it means i don't have the entire day to get worked up about it. on the other hand, still not my idea of a good morning.

i'm going dvd buying tonight. i want a pirates dvd waiting upon my return from the hospital.

not really a new year's resolution

i don't usually bother with resolutions. but i am darn well going to stick to a budget this year. i was doing good for a while this year. until i moved and stopped keeping exact track of phone calls and groceries. if i suck it up and live on a budget for a year or so, i can pay off my credit cards. i like seeing amount due =0.00. dollars or pounds.
