i find it remarkable
Dec. 5th, 2003 12:34 amfirst-let it be known that i have had a good afternoon/evening and am in an absolutely smashing mood. (good smashing, not hitting things smashing.) i have been swimming and had a lane to myself and was not overly annoyed by stupid boys, not even the one who did the full 90+ degree head turn. i went to the tree lighting in trafalgar square and was not late despite the best efforts of the london underground. i had a chocolate mint bliss from starbucks. peppermint hot chocolate is GOOD. i had more chocolate while watching master and commander. (tescos makes WONDERFUL desserts, and they are conveniently close to the west india quay cinema.)
what i find remarkable is that the english are utterly incapable of leaving me some personal space. i can be the ONLY person on a sidewalk that is about twice my body length (no comments kenny) and some stupid person will try to occupy the same section of the sidewalk i'm walking in. i can be the only one in the car on the tube and the guy that gets on sits right across from me. what ails these people?? i've never been in such a good mood and had so strong an urge to kick people at the same time as i did tonight on the way home.
oh, and master and commander is great. if you haven't seen it, go see it.
