Yeah, about how I said it was hard to find photos on a day like this... the universe has a sense of humor. Or possibly Alanis style irony. I went outside in hopes of chasing a moth (which was perched on the outside of a window until someone scared it away...) and found spiders instead. Wander over to Flickr- there's several pics of this spider, plus another one.

Of course it clears up and I find spiders AFTER I post a P365.

It's easy to find photos on nice days. On rainy, yucky ones like today, not so much. Fortunately, we've got tons of flowers in the house right now...

That is one creepy looking spider.

Nah, the other spider was way creepier. This one was downright friendly, and put up with me waving a camera at him from all angles.

Holy cow, that spider's gorgeous. How big was it? The one over on Flickr is lovely too.

The back part of his body was about the size of the first knuckle of my thumb, maybe a little smaller. So a couple inches? Bigger than the average house spider definitely... (If you need a size reference in the photo, the white speckles around him are grains of sand. It's a closeup- this spider was surprisingly chill about me waving a camera at him at close range.)
