A friend of a friend recently was in the car when my friend was dropping me off of an evening, and she was enchanted to see the local herd of deer hanging out on either side of our lane. My dad offered to let her take some back to Texas with her. Sadly, she didn't take us up on that, so the whole herd will be a menace to my garden.
