*sigh* Right, so counting down to away travel ban in 3, 2, 1...

Game thoughts thus far (~58 mins)
-Santacroce seems to be trying to take over Blasi's record. Idiot already managed two yellow cards, both for questionable tackles.
-I think Blasi has actually avoided a card thus far. *knocks on all the wood to be found in the room*
-Dipshit announcer said at 50 minutes that Napoli seem to have switched off. Um, hi, it's fifty minutes into the season and you have no idea what they look like when they're in form. How the hell can you say such an asinine thing?
-Despite being down to 10 men, we evened it up. I want to hug Hamsik.

edit Full time - Well, it could have gone better, but it also could have gone worse. Did Blasi make it through the whole game without a card?

*headdesk*

No, I'm not thrilled John McCain picked a GIRL for VP.

1. She's anti-environment.
2. She's anti-science.
3. She's anti-choice. (With the added bonus of being in favor of ignorance-only sex ed!)
4. She's ethics-challenged.

The fact that those sentences start with "she's" instead of "he's" is stunningly irrelevant. Could we consider that as done and noted?

Gustav is still predicted to be as close to a direct strike on New Orleans as makes no nevermind. Mandatory evacuations started this morning. On the bright side, it's down to Cat 3, but they expect it to strengthen again.

Our President is engaged in covering his ass by looking involved this time. Bet McCain must be happy- Bush will be too busy to do the convention thing.

Meanwhile, convincing everyone to leave is still a problem. Pardon my ignorance, but if evacuation is mandatory, shouldn't there be shelters/camps/other options evacuees don't have to pay for being set up? And shouldn't the government/aid organizations be making sure people know about them?

Today it's India. Tomorrow, it will be the Gulf Coast. Fingers crossed for New Orleans.

For the former, Doctors Without Borders is there. For the latter, I'm pre-emptively linking the Red Cross. Unfortunately, there's not much else I can do.
