four brothers

( slight spoiler )

i'm hardly the first to think that it's like a western set in detroit. brothers gather together to find their mother's killer and mete out justice. (and i like the way they deal with the head thug. very nice.) the plot could have been a little tighter, and one or two of the characters could have been fleshed out a little more, but overall good film.

omg so tired

need to start remembering to take an apple or something with me for after swim. a bag of pretzels isn't really ideal for recharging. it was bloody ridiculous-i was sitting in the cinema shivering over an hour after i got out of the pool. now i'm in my fuzzy pjs. i was going to make mini pumpkin pies and pumpkin ravioli tonight but i'm too tired and too in need of warm and cozy. i'm having sausage and mash instead. project pumpkin will just have to wait until tomorrow. i might make applesauce tonight though.

in less cranky news, skype is awesome. i haven't talked to my family this much in ages. it makes me happier. i'm also making an effort to be better at email and get back in touch with the people who i've owed emails to for several months now. it's amazing how much more cheerful i am after chatting with my friends.

ok, off to bed now. tomorrow morning i have to get up and teach first years how to do math. joy.
