my day sucks. thank god for craig.

best of was updated. best thing that happened all day. sadly, probably the best thing that will happen all day. unless, of course, parcel force finally cough up my hard drive. either way, i can look forward to going home and entirely re-writing two chapters, because i realized that what i have written is crap and not good enough, and yet needs to be redone before i sleep tonight so my advisor can read it on the train tomorrow, or at least at some point before our 11am meeting. (bonus points to parcel force if they show up before 5pm so i can go early and try to get that done before an unreasonable time of night, but i doubt it happens.)

anyway, while best of is generally amusing, i thought this one was worth sharing.

you foul, loathsome, hideous little toads.
it's bad enough that i have to put these things into my mouth that not only smell, but taste like they crawled out of a marsh. i don't know what you did to achieve that particular odor, and i suspect you did it on purpose. but seriously. it was entirely unnecessary. given their effects on my lower digestive tract, and the amount of quality time i've spent with the toilet over the past few days, i would have wished dire fates on you without the olfactory unpleasantry. but with it...i am wishing you into the bog of eternal stench.
