bleh

i did not kill or even maim my neighbor. i did spend most the evening quietly reading though. there were no further disasters after i spilled the can of pringles.

this morning was one of those mornings where i just didn't want to leave the warm comfort of my bed. (wait...that's most mornings, actually.) did maths tutorial at 11am with masami, during which one foolish student questioned my skills. my skills are intact, it just helps if i look over the problem set before i start the tutorial. i haven't dealt with series in a long time. since 18.03, to be exact.

i'm about to have to run off to an utterly useless (but mandatory) seminar. it's nothing that is interesting to me, and it will prevent me from leaving before 5pm, which means the likelihood that the pool will be crowded by the time i get there drastically increases. grr.

seminar was long and boring. there is also one tomorrow and one on thursday. the one on thursday is actually relevant, so i don't mind that one, but the one tomorrow...ugh. just ugh.

the pool was closed. issues with the chemical levels. may be fixed tomorrow, may not. i wasn't going tomorrow anyway, so hopefully it will be sorted by thursday. either way, i have the telephone number programmed into my mobile, so i'll call before i go. it sucks to make the trip in only to find out when you get there that the pool is out of action. i wish they'd put the pool status on the website.

had a less than pleasant train ride back. stupid commuters.

bright side: have just spoken to my landlord about the washing machine, he's going to come have a look at it, sunday at the latest, sooner if possible. guess that means i should tidy up the place a bit, it's pretty cluttered at the moment (i meant to do something about that over the weekend, but between the laundry disaster and the lack of sleep i didn't do anything yesterday at all.)
