Another instance of the media trying to create the narrative

"Obama fatigue".

Ba-zuh? It's freaking August. He's not supposed to be at the peak of his campaign. People are going to be sick of elections/campaigning, because you media harpies have been gleefully dissecting it for a year now! It's the height of summer. People would rather be doing summer things, and the Olympics is starting. This is as good a time as any for a candidate to be low-key and take a bit of a breather. Barring major world events or major gaffes*, the candidates are not expected to dominate the headlines.

If the election is a horse race, it's not a short sprint. It's more like a cross-country eventing race. Obama's got all fall to get his groove back-if he's actually lost it, which I'm not convinced of. This may be just another "Hey! Look! Over there!" by the media to distract from the part where McCain is a mess, and not even a hot one.

*Obviously, major gaffes by candidates not named "McCain", as the media is determined to airbrush McCain's near daily mistakes out for him.

I'm not so much tired of hearing about Obama as I am sick of hearing stories about, say, Obama's gray hair and whether he dyes it, which was actually on MSNBC the other night.

They spoke to his hair guy. In case you were wondering (I certainly was not), he doesn't dye it. Don't you feel better now? At least the potential leader of the free world will not be spending his time in office getting his hair did. :(
